Suspension manufacturer KW Automotive has added a set of Clubsport coilovers to its range for the Porsche 944.

The new coilovers are aimed at drivers looking to use their 944 on track days and the adjustable suspension allows the car to be lowered by up to 55mm.

KW’s set-up comes with racing springs, uniball top mounts and adjustable dampers.

The whole interior of the KW Clubsport damper is designed for driving with semi-slick tyres on race tracks, so the low-speed and high-speed valves for the compression and rebound forces in the Clubsport coilover dispose of much higher valve spring rates.

Jonas Ehrmann of KW said: ‘The damper valves, piston rod, piston rod guide, elastomer spring elements, main springs (supporting springs) and preload springs are designed to handle these higher forces and the wear. The Clubsport coilover uses a much more modern setup than the Cup dampers used in the Porsche 944 Cup at the end of the 1980s.’
