Ford has launched its Heritage Vault that offers access to more than 5000 photographs and brochures. This is the first time the company has permitted this access and it says it will continue to add to the archive.

The Ford Heritage Vault is fully searchable and it’s free to download material from the website, which also covers Lincoln models and Ford from the firm’s beginning in 1903.

ed Ryan, Ford archive and heritage brand manager, said: ‘We’re opening up in a way we’ve never done before. Our archives were established 70 years ago, and for the first time, we’re opening the vault for the public to see. This is just a first step for all that will come in the future.
